This time the new smartphone will be called the Xperia ZR. Also known by its codename Dogo (or Xperia A) rumored smartphone is expected to feature a 4.6-inch large screen, 2 GB RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, microSD card slot (for cards with capacities up to 32 GB) and a quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5 GHz. Additionally Xperia ZR will also have an impressive 13 MP camera rear camera with Exmor sensor RS, LED flash, autofocus and Full HD (1080p) video recording. Software-wise the Xperia ZR is expected to run Android 4.2.2 but this should be confirmed.
Some good news for fans is that the Sony Xperia ZR is IP55/IP58 certified which means that the smartphone will be dust proof and water resistant. What's even better is that the ZR will be more resistant to water and dirt when compared with the Xperia Z, who just IP55/IP57 certified. Finally smartphone is expected to feature 2,300 mAh battery, and to around 10 mm thin with a total weight of 140 grams (including battery).
Sony Xperia ZR expected soon, perhaps even before the beginning of summer 2013. Be careful - Xperia ZR has many names as of now so that might come into your local market as Xperia A or some other name.

Sony unveiled a new smartphone with water poof high-end specifications that called the Sony Xperia ZR. Android phones have emerged in recent leak, so what have we learned about the next Sony smartphone?
Well, Sony Xperia ZR seems to bring everything that makes a large 5-inch Xperia Z into a more compact form. This new phone is rumored to have a 4.6 inch screen Mobile Bravia 2 running at 1280 * 720 pixels.
Xperia ZR will have IP55/58 certified meaning it can be submerged in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, which makes it even more water-proof than the Xperia Z (pictured above). Like it's bigger brother it would be dust-proof and scratch-resistant screen will display. A powerful processor 1.5 GHz quad-core will be the power of Sony's mobile, which will be supported by a whopping 2GB of RAM. It will have 8GB of on-board memory and a microSD card and will support 4G LTE.
An Exmor R camera amazing 13 mega-pixel is expected to appear on the Xperia ZR, while it will come pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean and includes 2300 mAh battery.
